Have you ever watched the movie "Alive", based upon true events of a soccer team whose plane crashed into snowy mountains? Several people died and those who survived ate the remains of the dead to stay alive.
I brought the question up a couple years ago to my fellow co-workers as to what they'd do in the situation. Would they rather starve or gnaw on a piece of flesh. Say what you will but I'm pretty sure that if I needed to eat to survive and there was no other way to get food, I'm going to take a hunk of meat out of your dead ass.
I opened up a whole can of worms again yesterday when I asked the same question of a group of friends. With the exception of one girl, everyone vowed they'd never take a trip with me anywhere.
Bear this in mind, I'm not some crazy cannibal looking to make stew out of your innards. I'd forage for food before feasting on flesh. I'd make sure you were good and dead before getting out the knife and fork. It's not like I'm looking to broaden my food group horizon by deciding that humans are better than chocolate. It would have to be a very severe and extreme situation like the movie depicted. It's called survival, nothing more and nothing less.
(I probably opened up another can of worms by posting about this. That's fine, you can agree or disagree with me. Just don't hurl the can of worms at me. I might eat them.)
