DVD Synopsis:
As the curtain rises, Hannah hesitantly steps onto the stage for her theatrical debut in college. Yet before she can utter her first lines, Hannah—unscripted—collapses in front of the stunned audience.
After countless medical tests, all signs point to one underlying factor: Hannah's difficult birth. This revelation is nothing compared to what she then learns from her parents: she was actually adopted … after a failed abortion attempt.
Bewildered, angered, and confused, Hannah turns for support to Jason, her oldest friend. Encouraged by his adventurous spirit, Hannah joins his group of friends on a Spring Break road trip, embarking on a journey to discover her hidden past … and find hope for her unknown future.
In the midst of her incredible journey, Hannah finds that life can be so much more than what you have planned.
October Baby released on DVD September 11th, 2012.
My Review:
Get out your hankies for this one! October Baby follows Hannah, the main character, as she goes through the journey in finding her birth mother after learning she is adopted and almost wasn't even born. I won't give my political stance on abortion in this post, but one of October Baby's underlying points throughout the movie is that life is beautiful and shouldn't be aborted. Hannah and her best friend Jason seek out her biological mother and learn some difficult truths, as well as how to forgive. The script is well-done and the plot allows us to get a feel of what an abortion survivor may feel.
I received DVD for review. The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way. Please do your own research before purchasing products. Your opinions and results may differ.

Sounds like a decent movie. I may have to grab it from Redbox one of these days.
Oh goodness I so love a movie for a good cry!
I have heard so many good things about this one, but I'm not into tearjerkers...but I'm really glad to see something with this message for those who are!
