Creativity for Kids and MommyParties gave me the awesome opportunity to host a Creativity for Kids party in my home. Creativity for Kids has craft kits and art supplies for kids. I received a large party kit with all sorts of fun stuff to make and create. I had two of my daughters, a few of my nieces, and one of my nephews over yesterday to get crafty.

The Fashion Bracelets craft kit included fifteen bracelets, five of them wide and ten of them skinny. Ribbon, satin cord, floss and trim were used to wrap around the bracelets and decorate them as each child pleased. Included with the kit was scissors and adhesive double-sided tape. I appreciated that child-size scissors were included and the double-sided tape was much easier to work with than the craft glue was with the headbands.

Shelby decorating a bracelet
Shelby used a black satin headband and decked it out with ribbon and a purple flower. She's going to wear it to college tomorrow.
Each child was able to decorate a Stuck on Fashion Tote. Each tote was patterned in pink and white zebra stripe. A matching wallet, ID tag and insert was included. The insert gets placed inside the bottom of each bag to keep it open, without collapsing. The totes have pink handles to place on your shoulder or hold on to. This project seemed to be the favorite among everyone and I think it's because it was so easy to do. The kids added colored stickers to the totes to add flair. With the exception of Shelby's tote bag, the stickers stayed in place and were easy to apply. I'm not sure why she was having complications with it, but hers was the minority in the matter.

The Pop-Art Necklaces were my fave. Each child made one by taking one of the plastic bottle caps and adding a sticker to it. They then put clear domes on top of it. The cap was added to a satin cord and beads were then added. It gave an effect of a bottle cap necklace. Some of the stickers included were already finished and others could be colored in with included markers.
Stickers for the Pop-Art Necklace set
Ozzy's mom helped make his necklace.
Ozzy, the only boy at the party, wasn't too interested in decorating headbands and bracelets so he worked on the Create Your Own Pop-Up Books kit. The set included two hardcover pop-up books, one regular size and one smaller. There were stickers, markers, and pop-up designs to add to the book. After writing his own story and illustrating it, Ozzy added the stickers and pop-up designs. The first initial instructions were hard to follow but we were able to move along smoothly after that.

Each of the children went home with a couple of gifts to do craft projects in their own homes. One was the Shrinky Dinks BFF Jewelry kit in which the kids will be able to color and bake 12 Shrinky Dinks to make four cord bracelets. The other was the Mandalas & More Coloring and ARTivity Book. Inside it are templates, games, puzzles and crafts. The book has spiral binding and has high-quality paper that won't easily tear.

Although my kitchen wasn't big enough and probably didn't have as much space as it needed, you wouldn't have known it by the way everyone worked and had so much fun. There wasn't one complaint from any of the kids and everyone got along. It was neat to watch the adults work alongside the kids to create crafts and projects. There are age guidelines on each of the kits and I suggest that they are followed. However, even the little kids were able to play along with adult supervision.
Each kit that we received from Creativity for Kids was a pleasure to do. Seeing the kids' finished projects and how excited they were to show them off absolutely made my day. Creativity for Kids allowed my family to spend a quality day together. I think their kits are wonderful for individual work or at a party like the one we held.

I bet the kids had a blast! I know when I was younger, anything crafty was always so much fun; I think that's why I love it so much as an adult ^.^
