Random Tuesday Thoughts - Dancin' In The Rain

It's another edition of Random Tuesday Thoughts, hosted by Stacy Uncorked.  Write a post of your randomness and link up.

Logan participated in another 5K run last Saturday.  He placed 3rd for his age division and received a medal.

Juliann has played in three softball games so far and her team has won all three times!

I held a small graduation party for Shelby on Saturday.  A few family and friends gathered at our campsite to congratulate the high school graduate.

A couple of co-workers helped me make personalized water bottles for the party.  One of the girls created the personalized labels that said "Congrats Shelby" with a cap and diploma on the side.  We used packing tape to seal the labels on both sides to prevent water from smearing the markings.  Then we cut off the water brand labels and replaced them with the personalized ones.

Sunday I attended a baby shower for my nephew and his girlfriend.  Since I was in the area, I was able to visit my father's gravesite.  It was the first time in seven years that I've been at his gravesite since his funeral.  I'm grateful to my husband that he traveled over the river and through the woods and across a thousand gravel roads so I could be with my daddy and personally wish him a "Happy Father's Day".  Dang, I miss him so much...
-------------------------

What's a bunch of adult idiots supposed to do in the middle of a rainstorm?!  Why, nothing other than go out and play in it!  Splashing through mud puddles, singing rain dances, and mud wrestling all make for some serious fun when there's nothing better to do.  We'll make the best out of any situation.

Happy RTT!

Congrats to your kids and you know, maybe it is good to visit graves? My husband's mom died about 16 years ago and I don't think he's ever once gone. I don't even know if he wants to but maybe it would be nice. Happy Tuesday!

Congratulatons to your kiddos on their accomplishments! I love the water bottle idea.

Being so far from family means it's been a long time since we've been able to visit graves. It's time to go home. :(

it took me a long to visit my dad's gravesite too. It was so overwhelming to me. And have 30 years, it still hurts.

Those water bottles are cute and a good way to bring in the graduation theme without going overboard
