Peloponnese Greek Foods - Review and Giveaway

Entertaining is part of every culture, and in the Mediterranean they know how to prepare flavorful meals with all of the warmth and finesse of the Greek climate.  Peloponnesse has diverse, flavorful and new food products that help you host a Mediterranean style party or dinner.  From olives to peppers and grape leaves, Peloponnese® products compromise a variety of authentic Greek food freshly harvested, naturally processed and uniquely exported from Greece to add old-world flair to ordinary home cooking.

I've never really eaten Greek or Mediterranean foods before.  It's not that I'm against trying them, but wasn't quite sure how to prepare them.  Recently, I was able to make a few meals and snacks using Peloponnese food products and was in for a new world of tastes I've never had.

After preparing meals with Peloponnese foods, I discovered new ways of creating dishes.  I used the Antipasto Party Olives as an addition to a pasta salad.  The jar contained not only brine-cured olives, but also garden vegetables and garlic slices.  By adding a jar of the Antipasto Party Olives to the pasta salad, I was able to add new flavor to a traditional dish.

I had never even heard of Baba Ganoush before receiving it to try.  It's an eggplant and tahini spread with a creamy texture.  It made a delicious snack when spread on crackers.  We used the Florina Whole Sweet Pappers by slicing them up and adding them to our tacos.  The peppers are red and thick with a slightly sweet taste.  The Halved Kalamata Gourmet Black Olives were also used as garnish for the tacos.  I wasn't particularly fond of the bland flavor of the Hummus Spread but my daughter and her boyfriend liked it spread on crackers.  The Artichoke Spread was more to my liking and I've used it as a spread on top of beer bread. 

Peloponnese was an unknown brand to me until recently.  I enjoy trying new foods and wasn't disappointed with how Peloponnese added a Greek essense to my cuisine.
