Hot Chillys - Review and Giveaway

Hot Chillys makes some of the best base layer, socks, and second layer products to maximize the fun in functional, performance apparel.  They offer a comprehensive line of base layers and performance apparel for men, women, and children.  A "Warmth Factor" printed on the packaging of each item indicates "mild, medium or hot" products. The Warmth Factor is a guide to choose the best product for you based on where you are going or what you are doing.

I don't actively participate in sports but do spend a lot of time outdoors camping.  I'm not a fan of cold weather but sometimes it can get rather chilly at camp.  I like to wear clothes that will keep me warm without suffocating me.

I received a few pieces for review from Hot Chillys.  One, the Baja Fleece, is a Hot Chillys classic. The  Women's Baja Fleece Zip-T with binding breathes and moves moisture away from the body like a base layer while the relaxed fit allows for easy layering.  It's made with 50% recycled polyester yarns, and is designed for a closer fit to layer without excess bulk.

Super soft and comfy, this fleece zips up and down all the way and has a set-in collar that can be folded down if desired.  It fits my body well and provides much warmth. 

The Women's Geo-Pro Midweight Long Sleeve Crew is great for all your outdoor needs as well as perfect for your casual lifestyle. The interlocked construction of MTF polyester yarns help pull moisture away from your skin so it is rapidly dispersed and evaporated to keep you feeling warm and comfortable no matter where your adventure begins. Soft to the touch, this performance garment has a super soft, lived-in feel. All garments are made with contrast flat seamed stitching to eliminate binding and abrasion.

This long sleeve crew is my favorite of the three pieces I received.  I love the blue color and the soft feel.  I can wear it alone or under other pieces.  My favorite feature of the top is the extended cuffs with thumbhole. 

The Women's PeachSkins Midweight Zip-T delivers warmth and moisture management in a silky soft fabric that has been lightly sueded, or 'peached' for added performance and extra softness making this garment surprisingly warmer than its light-as-a-feather feel.

The Midweight Zip-T fits snugly and has no stretch.  Although I like my clothes to be looser, this particular top flattens most of my midsection.  The feel of the fabric is very smooth.  I like to wear the zipper down, showing off my neckline. 

I don't have to deal with frigid temperatures much right now, but I feel confident that the pieces from Hot Chillys will help keep me warm while providing comfort when temperatures start to drop again.  During the last two weeks of chilly weather, I've worn my Hot Chillys apparel at camp and they've helped keep the sharp air from penetrating my skin.
