Most people get a few days off from work to relax and rejuvenate. Didn't quite happen that way with me. Had five days off work and was almost happy to return, just to get some "away" time. Then I returned...
My oldest daughter turned 18 years old Saturday. It only took her one day later to announce she wanted to move in with her boyfriend. I could say a million and one things about it, but I'm just the mom.
My uncle passed away Thursday. My nephew was kind enough to drive me and my mom to the funeral. It was nice to see extended family. Just wish it would've been under different circumstances.
I don't normally get car sick but I prayed to God that my nephew would forgive me if I upchucked all over his van on the ride to the funeral. It was a five hour ride up and a five hour ride back, all in one day. Not a problem. UNLESS you're in the boothills of Missouri. I've never seen such winding, hilly, curvy roads in all my life. It felt like I was on a roller coaster ride from hell.
On the plus side, on the way to the funeral, I was able to view a garage that my grandpa had built many moons ago. It's been standing for 54 years. Little sentimental moment for me.
My ex has text me for the last three days, every five hours like clockwork. He apparently doesn't understand that a certified letter for court means that you have to go to court and THAT's where matters get settled. Not by text messages. Geez, and why did I EVER divorce him!
To make it a super ending from my days off work, I witness a wreck. Guy gets hit and suspect vehicle takes off. I'm first on scene to the victim and a witness to the whole mess.
Enough of my nagging and moaning. How was your week?!
