Random Tuesday Thoughts - Money Lost

Stacy

Logan had his first track meet last week and came out on top.  He placed first in three events and second in another.  Juliann just had her last volleyball game last night.  She's improved quite a bit since last year.

I've been having shipping wars with someone who bought some boy's clothes from me.  I sent the clothes off three weeks ago and she still hasn't received them.  I actually bought a signature confirmation so she'd have to sign when she received the clothes.  That was upon her request because apparently she's had problems with packages not arriving before.  Doesn't do me any good when I can't find the damn thing.  I've searched all over hell and high water and cannot find it.  So I can't prove that the clothes were sent out and will more than likely have to return the money.  I rarely do business where I'm the one selling stuff so I totally lowballed myself when I sold the clothes and ended up paying the same amount in shipping as I got for the money received.  In other words, I've mailed clothes that are somewhere in Never Make It Land, made absolutely no profit from them, and will have to refund the money.   I absolutely understand the frustration on her side as well.  It just leaves a pit in the bottom of my stomach.  Nex time, I'll just have a yard sale at home.

Speaking of money lost, I had to pitch $10 worth of lunch meat yesterday because hubby forgot to take it out of the truck and into the fridge.

My nephew and his wife were baptized last Sunday at church.  They've known they were going to do it for two weeks now but told no one until the day of.  I cried tears of joy.

-----------------------
Me and Jason took the boys to the Havana drag strip Saturday so Jason could Test & Tune his car.  It was the first time he's taken his car out on a track since getting it.  His first pass and times were decent, but the car broke down the second time around.  Adam was actually in the passenger seat and was going to go down the drag strip with Jason.  Right after Jason did a burnout and right before he was set to race, the car broke down.  I was kind of disappointed that Adam didn't get to go down the strip.  He was grinning ear to ear, raring to go.  Oh well, there's always next time.

Happy RTT!

Oh believe me when I say, I've been in your situation with the whole shipping thing. Unfortunately I didn't get a signature confirmation because it wasn't requested and I had to return the money, too. Not only that, but the lady gave me a negative on my feedback score on Etsy :(

Hopefully it works out for you both!

Quite a few years ago I sold some boy clothes on eBay for a friend of mine - and the buyer scammed by filing a PayPal dispute saying she never got the clothes - even though there was a delivery confirmation...but the name was different, so PayPal refunded her the money. I did see she got kicked off after pulling the same scam on many other sellers (as evidenced by the negative feedback when you could actually leave negative feedback for a bad buyer). Isn't the electronic signature thing available online? Hopefully it gets worked out!

Leaving lunch meat in the truck instead of bringing it in and putting it in the fridge totally sounds like something my hubby would do. :)

Bummer that Adam didn't get to go down the strip - maybe he should be first next time. ;)
