My life isn't perfect by any means and I'm okay with that. I'm not the accomplished housewife and I irk my husband and kids on a daily basis. At times, I even act immature for my age. I don't fit any cookie cutter mold. In fact, I'm pretty horrible at even using cookie cutters. I think that's partly why Anne Taintor appeals to me so greatly. Her fabulous products are delivered with quirky, contemporary humor and retro graphics. Whether it's work, home, travel, romance, or life in general, Anne Taintor makes you stop and laugh.
Anne Taintor, Inc. is the original vintage humor company. The company's signature style - wry text juxtaposed against images of idealized women from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s - appears on magnets, sticky notes, eco-friendly totes, and dozens of other products that have been making smart people smile since 1985. The models featured on Anne Taintor products are real people who posed for advertisements in their time period.
I received a few products from Anne Taintor for review, with one being a classic shopper bag. The earth-friendly shopper is strong, reusable, and water resistant. It features an interior pocket and nylon shoulder straps. The outside is decorated with polka dots and features a mom holding a baby with the words "Wow! I get to give birth AND change diapers!" I almost saved the bag to use as a gift bag for my expectant niece who's due to have a baby soon. I think it'd be a fun bag to put baby gifts in. But I'm stingy sometimes and have been using it myself to carry lightweight items back and forth for camp.
Postcards are fun, but magnetic postcards are fantastic! Just like a regular postcard, you write a message and affix a postcard-rate stamp, then send it in the mail. Rather than throwing the postcard away after receiving it, the recipient can peel off the backing and have a magnet to stick and keep. The magnetic postcard I received featured a woman swimming and the words read "You know me...busy, busy!" I liked the magnetic postcard so well myself that I didn't give first thought to sending it to someone. Instead, I peeled off the backing and stuck it on my fridge.
My favorite is the "Someone has to set a bad example" book. It's a collection of more than 150 of Anne Taintor's best and funniest images combined with sass and attitude. The vintage illustrations and witty words make you laugh about dating, marriage, motherhood, friendship, money, and more. I've seriously looked at this book several times and it never fails that I'm laughing or grinning.
Anne Taintor, Inc. allows you to make light of life and escape from stresses with wit and humor.
One person will win an Anne Taintor magnetic postcard, box of mini tissues, a classic shopper bag, and the "Somebody has to set a bad example" book.
