3D Light FX - Review

3D Light FX is the brainchild of the 3D Deco Light, a cordless decorative night light shaped like a soccer ball with the appearance that it's been kicked into the wall.  Available in pink or black, the life size soccer ball deco light comes with an AC adapter to plug into an outlet or there's the option for it to be cordless.  My boys don't play soccer, but they like sports in general so they were thrilled to have one of the 3D Deco Lights hung on their wall.

I honestly thought it would be a hassle to install the 3D Deco Light.  I was sure I'd mess it up, so I had my husband do it.  In less than ten minutes, he had the night light up on the wall....and without grumbling or groaning!  Instructions are included on a sheet of paper as well as on the wall transfer.  The vinyl decal is first applied to the area of wall where you want it placed.  A smooth, dry, clean surface is best.  After the crackling wall decal effect is applied to the wall, the soccer ball night light gets screwed into the wall.  Screws are included and there are position indicators to show where the screws need to be placed.  An AC adapter is included if you choose to plug in the night light.  If you go that route, be sure to place the night light in a position where the adapter will reach an outlet.  We chose to go with the cordless route and install 3 AA batteries. 

Once the entire setup was complete, we let the boys take a look.  They really like it.  There's an on/off switch so it's convenient to have it on only when you want.  A soft glow emits from the soccer ball.  The boys like to have it on at night when they are winding down for bedtime.  The night light gives a realistic effect that the soccer ball has crashed through the wall. 

The LED light of the night light uses less than 0.45W per hour, making it energy efficient.  That's if you have it plugged in rather than use batteries.  Logan and Adam like the night light and how it looks in their room.  None of us have qualms about the night light being a soccer ball, but I think it'd be super if the company branched out with other sports balls, including basketballs, baseballs, and footballs.
