I'm picky when it comes to meat. I like to eat it but I want it done a certain way. It has to be well done and I WILL NOT eat the fat. My husband cooks darn good food and if meats can compare to his cooking, it's A+ in my book. I recently found out about Pig of the Month, a company with mouthwatering barbecues, sides and desserts. Oh my goodness gracious, I'm in hog heaven! (pun intended) Don't tell my husband, but he's found a competitor for mouthwatering barbecued meat.
I received a rack of baby back ribs from Pig of the Month for review. It arrived sealed airtight and in a cooler to keep it cold during transit. We put it in the freezer for a few days, then took it out to thaw on the day we wanted to eat it. It was precooked and it just needed to be reheated. Rather than put it in the oven, my husband laid it on the grill for a short while. As far as ribs go, I've never eaten some that I really, truly like. They're either too fatty or tough. For that matter, I've never eaten a piece of boned meat all the way to the bone. I licked on the ribs until I was straight to the bone. It was so tender and there was no fat on the meat, at least none that I could see. I seriously could've eaten the whole rack of ribs that I received from Pig of the Month all by myself and not thought twice about it. One rack fed me, my husband, and my nephew. It was absolutely delicious. I have nothing bad to say about the baby back ribs, other than the fact that it left me jonesin' for more.
In addition to the baby back ribs, I received the Cattle King Brisket and BBQ Sauce. It's full of a rounded tomato flavor, with a hint of sweetness. The sauce has been a winner at Gettin' Sauced BBQ Competition and the Americal Royal BBQ Competition. It has a distinctive flavor that only adds to the taste of the baby back ribs. We've used the sauce on the ribs, as well as a dipping sauce for our steaks and ribeyes. Yummy!
The holidays are soon approaching and I'd absolutely suggest Pig of the Month as a place to purchase precooked meats, side dishes, or desserts. I cannot speakly highly enough of my feasting experience with them. As the company name suggests, you can purchase from a monthly club to receive a barbecue feast during separate times of the year. Or, if you prefer, you can purchase their barbecues and other goodies separately. It's whatever you desire.
One person will win a $25 Pig of the Month Gift Certificate.
