Peter Pauper Press is one of the first companies I ever worked with for a review and I'm pleased to be working with them again. Peter Pauper Press is one of America's leading publishers of fine gift books, travel guides, quality stationary, holiday cards, and children's activity books. They publish approximately one hundred books and ancillary products per year. For my review this time I chose the Merry Christmas Scratch and Sketch.
An art activity book, the Merry Christmas Scratch and Sketch is hardcover and has 64 pages of scratch-off, illustrated, and sketch pages. Using the wooden stylus, kids can scratch away the black coating and sketch their own Christmas designs by revealing an array of colors underneath the black. All pages have something pertaining to Christmas. There's wreaths, snowflakes, stockings, and more. The activity book is simple to do, yet enjoyable for kids of all ages. I've let each of my four younger kids designate pages to themselves and they've been taking turns sketching and drawing with the stylus to create neat Christmas designs with revealed colors. The pages themselves are thick enough that the stylus doesn't poke through and the hardbound cover gives stability when the kids use the art activity book.
Win It!
One person will win a Merry Christmas Scratch and Sketch book.
