Send Some Comfort with Hanes

I had an aunt that passed away from breast cancer after battling it for 13 years.  I also have a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year but is now in remission.  I've seen breast cancer destroy and be destroyed.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Hanes is doing their part to help bring awarness and raise funds to find a cure.  Hanes has created a Facebook app that lets fans personalize and send free virtual Comfort Packages to friends and family. For each package sent, Hanes will donate $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (up to $25,000) to promote early cancer detection and provide mammograms for those in need.

Hanes created the Comfort Packages to bring a smile and help spread comfort to fans’ social networks in a small, but impactful, way. The free virtual Comfort Package can be sent from the Pink tab on the Hanes page. The Comfort Package is fully customizable with photos, videos, recipes, T-shirt designs, music and messages. Sending a Comfort Package is a kind gesture of support.  I encourage you to send a Comfort Package to someone and help Hanes in their crusade to fight breast cancer.

I participated in this campaign as a member of One2One Network and am eligible for a prize drawing. All opinions stated in the post are my own.

Like I wrote in my post, it's wonderful to see companies taking a stand and helping the good fight like Hanes and the many others contributing to awareness; and not just breast cancer, but ALL sorts of illnesses and diseases!

It's just one step closer to cures :)
