A Critical Loss of Balance - Book Review and Giveaway

Book Review:

Mystery writer Mark Shaver’s third book entitled, “A Critical Loss of Balance,” is a suspenseful thriller about every parent’s worst nightmare – your very own child being kidnapped – and the circumstances that follow.

The mystery opens with main character, Cliff Elliott, thinking he had endured the worst thing a parent could endure when his nine year old daughter was kidnapped, but he was wrong.  Cliff finds that the circumstances leading to her return are far worse than anything he could have imagined and suddenly his entire life is cast out of balance.

My Review:

I rarely read mysteries; They are not on the top of my list for preferred book genres.  I must say, however, that A Critical Loss of Balance pleasantly surprised me and it was an immersing read from beginning to end.  I did not feel like I was soiled down with unnecessary details.  The author threw in twists and turns that were unexpected and unpredictable.  A few characters in the story start out with one set of behaviors, but that changes when their lives are thrown upside down with a kidnapping and a death.  Now that I've read A Critical Loss of Balance, I'm interested in reading the other two books by self-published author Mark Shaver.

Win It!

Two people will each win a book copy of A Critical Loss of Balance.

I have really been thinking lately about writing a book. I have a couple of ideas, it is just a matter of deciding which one comes first.

I have considered writing about my experience with Lyme and all the natural treatments I've done along the way-Actually, I really DO want to. It's just trying to find the time and state of mind to do so O.o

One day though....

Great giveaway! I'd love to be entered.

Actually i got published: I got a resumé of my PhD thesis published in a specialized journal. But getting a novel or a short story published...well...that would be great!

Please count me in. Thanks.
