Aerobie Skylighter - Review and Giveaway

I always encourage my kids to play outdoors, especially when they are at camp.  I believe that they need the physical exercise to promote a strong and healthy mind and body.  Aerobie, a sport toys brand, has been known to provide exciting performance while encouraging physical activity involving skill and exercise.  In May I was sent the Aerobie Sprint Ring for review and the kids had fun with it, so I was happy to get the chance to review the Aerobie Skylighter.

The Skylighter lighted disc has a light module to illuminate the disc when the sun goes down for hours of continuous play.  The disc can be played with during the day but is much more entertaining in dark light due to its bright LED lights.  Available in four colors, the Skylighter has a rubber rim that provides a performance grip for strong throws and a soft edge to catch.

Using an open field at camp, my kids have spent much time playing with the Aerobie Skylighter.  It's amazing how something so simple can be so much fun.  In fact, other kids at camp have come around and played games with this disc.  With the right throw and aim, the Aerobie Skylighter flies far and the light is neat to see at night.  It can be thrown using different hand variations to give the speed, direction, and distance you want.  Rarely has it happened, but sometimes the ring won't fly straight and needs tuning.  This can easily be done by bending it slightly downward.  The kids have had so much fun with it that a few of us adults have gotten together teams for our own nighttime fun with the lighted disc.
