Right On The Walls - Discount Code and Giveaway

We recently moved to a new residence and I've been eager to add decor to the walls.  Vinyl wall decals were a first thought when I was deciding what to do to decorate my rooms.  Right On The Walls, a site with unique and creative decorating possibilities, allowed me the opportunity to fill up some space on a wall with a vinyl wall decal.

There is an open space upstairs where I live and I've envisioned that I'd like it decorated with a safari/jungle theme.  With Right On The Walls, I was able to choose a Large Lion Head vinyl wall decal to place in an open wall space.  With a lot of the vinyl wall decals, there are different sizes and color options available.  I went with brown for my lion decal. 

When I received the Large Lion Head decal in the mail, I opened it to see that also included were three smaller decals to use as samples, set of instructions, and a pink plastic squeegee.  I applied one of the decals, a pair of lips, on a wall in my daughter's room to get a feel of what I was doing.

Applying the vinyl wall decal to my wall took some time and precision but it wasn't a hard task to do.  It's important that the area where the decal is being applied on is clean and dry.  Using masking tape, I positioned the decal where I wanted it on my wall and went over it with the squeegee to remove air bubbles.  Slowly and methodically, I removed the contact paper from the wall decal so it would stick to my wall.  With the exception of a couple of areas where there are extremely fine details, I was able to just pull the contact paper down.  When it came to those particular fine details, I used the tip of my fingernail to press the vinyl on the wall. 

After applying the decal, I was impressed with the end result.  The detailing of the lion's head is intricate and accurate.  The decal is bold and makes a strong statement in the room it's in.

I purposefully placed the lion's head decal so that it's the first thing people see when they come upstairs.  It's one of my favorite decor pieces in my home.
