MicroPro 48-Piece Microscope Set - Review and Giveaway

My kids, especially the boys, are curious fellas.  This 48-piece microscope is perfect for them to put their questioning minds to work.  It has everything you need to gather specimen and prepare slides to view your world up close.  Some of the things included with the microscope are blank slides, eyepieces, a petri dish, specimen vials, and tweezers.  Because there are so many included pieces and so many functions of the microscope, it's nice that there's an included instruction manual that explains what everything is for and how they work.  Two AA batteries are needed and not included.

With the microscope, my kids are able to prepare their own samples using the scalpel and observe them by making slides of what they want to see.  Being outdoors at the campground has given them ample opportunity to find plants and insects of all sorts to view in a whole new way.  The microscope has five powers to magnify the view of their samples.  It's been a great teaching tool and they've gotten a kick out of seeing what things can look like with magnification.  Because there are so many pieces and some of the tools have sharp edges, I do not recommend this microscope for small children unless under adult supervision.
