Melville Candy Company - Review and Giveaway

Melville Candy Company is a company that's being featured for the Heck Of A Celebration blog event I'm hosting. During the event I will be featuring companies that offer products and gifts suitable for birthday parties.

I recently held a birthday party for my son and step-daughter.  In the process of finding unique and special party favors for guests I came across Melville Candy Company.  This family owned and operated business creates gourmet custom shaped barley lollipops in a variety of designs.  In addition to barley lollipops, they create gourmet delights for tea and coffee drinkers.  Each item they produce is hand made, packed, and inspected before shipping which guarantees that you will receive an excellent product each time you place an order.

I received a box of assorted lollipops from Melville Candy Company and was bowled over and how many designs there are and at the size of them.  There were designs from fish and footballs to lighthouses and rectangles.  Some of the suckers were big and wide, others were long and skinny.   Before the party, I let each of my kids taste a few of the lollipops to get their initial impressions.  I got responses such as "these are good" and "I really like them". 

During the birthday party, I handed out gift bags which included the lollipops.  I even had a few left over and the adults clamored for them.  Guests commented on how cute they were, how big they were, and that the suckers weren't sickening sweet. 

Melville Candy Company achieves the appealing and intricate shapes of barley sugar lollipops by using hardmade molds and crystal clear hard candy.  The Sweet & Sour Lollipops even had a flavor twist in the middle with a taste of sweet on the sucker and a taste of sour on the striped inside.  The suckers have delightful flavors and last quite a while.  Each was individually wrapped and they were very popular among all the guests.
