I don't mind going to a specialty coffee shop once in a while but it's far and few between. I have enough addictions that I don't want to shell out exorbitant amounts of money on cappuccinos and lattes. Learning about and using the Capresso Froth Pro has given me the leisure to make these kinds of drinks from home.
Designed to create frothed or heated milk for cappuccinos, lattes or hot chocolate, this automatic milk frother whips your milk to your desired temperature of hot, warm, or cold. The set-up comes with a milk pitcher with lid, two frothing disks, one heating disk, and the base unit. Two disks are stored underneath the base of the appliance while one of the disks is inside the milk pitcher.
To make the desired milk toppings for my drink, I place either the frothing disk or the heating disk into the bottom of the milk pitcher, then pour cold milk in. The pitcher is then placed on the heating platform and I push the desired temperature setting of hot, cold, or warm. The button lights up and the machine starts automatically. When the milk has reached the maximum temperature, the appliance will automatically shut off and the frothing action will stop. I then put the milk on top of my drink.
The weather has been quite warm so I've been using the cold temperature most to give my hot coffee a little chill and make other iced coffee drinks. My son, Adam, is a hot chocolate fanatic and has been using the heating disk to make his own heated milk on top of his chocolate drink. I'm able to make my own cappuccinos without having to wait in line or pay big bucks. And they taste just as good! The steps to make my own frothed or heated milk are simple and the machine is small enough that it doesn't take up much room in my kitchen. I do wish the cord were a little bit longer to make it easier to plug into my outlets. The Capresso Froth Pro isn't a kitchen necessity, but it's nice to have and uncomplicated to use.
