Random Tuesday Thoughts - Exhaustion Has Set In

Stacy

Stacy at Stacy Uncorked is still being so kind to keep Random Tuesday Thoughts going.  Even though I don't participate every week, it's nice that I can keep going back when I want.  Kind of like an old friend.

----------------------------

I had a mini-meltdown yesterday.  Between the sweltering heat, laundry the size of a landfill, and packing up a million and one things, it was all too much.  I started crying and contemplating if I could just give up and live like a hermit.  I honestly didn't care if I didn't have one material item to my name.  I was ready to be done with it.  After bawling like a colicky baby, I got my act together and carried on.

We've got most of the stuff over to the new residence now.  I still have enough stuff to pack that I'm liable to have another breakdown, but at least I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

----------------------------------

My landlord has burned her last bridge with me.  Long story almost short, she knows good and well that I'm the one who pays the cash rent every month.  She should have the decency to call me when she wants something.  Not my husband just because he's totally nicer than me.  And cuter.

She spoke with my husband and asked if she could show our house to potential renters over the weekend.  He said yes (I'm sure she knows I would've said no).  People and landlord's realtor friend come over and didn't realize that my teenage daughter is in there getting ready for work.  Teenage daughter overhears the realtor (who doesn't know us from Adam and Eve) say that dirty people don't know how good they got it.  She continues on with derogatory remarks until,  OOPS, she sees Shelby standing there listening.  Shelby calls and gives us the down low.  Too bad for our landlord now.  My husband is no longer the nice guy and calls to let her know that she, her realtor, and any potential renters are not allowed to come into our home under any circumstance until we are completely moved out.

Dirty people don't know how good they got it.  Let me show you dirty with my middle finger!  My house will never pass a white glove inspection but I keep it well maintained.  She was informed beforehand that the house was a mess.  Dust bunnies appear and virtual tornadoes rip through the house when people are moving.  And that's exactly what we are doing, moving!

-----------------------------------

I was lucky enough to find my digital camera when I started packing stuff away.  My daughter was even more excited because she got hers back.  Didn't last long though.  I took three pictures with my camera and it's went goofy ever since.  Back to using my daughter's.

-------------------------

Our campground wheels went to Golf Cart Heaven over the weekend.  It took its last sputter Sunday.  Where I camp, a golf cart is almost as necessary as oxygen.  Like Rudolph, we won't be playing any reindeer games for a while.

My mom has been missing her camera charger forever. Maybe I'll suggest they move and she'll find it! Happy RTT.

Wow, just goes to show that when you talk trash, some you don't want hearing is going to be there--isn't that one of Murphy's laws?
Glad you're moving.

I'm ready to have a mini-meltdown with the heat we've been having - and I'm not even doing the packing you're doing...so I can totally empathize! :) I might need to get some of that empathy in return when we finally get ready to move - my packrat ways will have caught up with me, I've accumulated a ton of 'stuff' since we moved into our house 8 years ago. It won't be pretty.

The nerve of that landlord! I'm actually glad Shelby overheard, if for nothing else the landlord showed her true colors and got busted.

I wasn't ready to submit my comment yet! My cat did it for me as I was bidding farewell to Princess Nagger for her play date. :)

OK, where was I? Yay for finding your camera finally - I bet when I finally do move I'll find stuff I've long been missing. ;)

So sorry your wheels went off to Golf Cart Heaven - I loved seeing your Reindeer Games during the holidays! Bummer!!

Thanks a bunch for randomizing with me! :)

Oh NO on the golf cart :(.

That person that said that needs to be slapped! How rude to say that about someone else's home!

Oh lord of course you would find the camera and then it goes wonky ... that is so my luck!

You can still play reindeer games with us, for the time being we can share Betty Boop.
As for your house I personally know you keep it clean, yes you all do have to live there and hey life can be messy, NOT DIRTY!!!! There is a difference!
Glad you are almost moved, by the way I don't have your new address, does this mean no visiting. LOL

You know, every once in awhile it's actually GOOD to let out emotion like that. It's good to cry and scream and carry on, because it's a release of tense emotions.

As for your landlord, what a horrible, horrible woman! The good thing is you'll be up and out of there soon enough!
