Wordful Wednesday - Sometimes You Just Gotta Roll Over and Play Dead

Ever had one of those days where all you want to do is stand still and hope that no one notices you? 

That's how this mother dog felt one day when we came across her during our Easter dinner.  Her and her two pups came running across the field to all of us while we were playing outside.  If it wasn't bad enough that her two pups were begging for her attention, so were all the kids that took notice of her.

One minute mama dog is romping around, the next she's on the ground like a piece of petrified wood.  She laid like that for a good five minutes.  I thought we'd done killed her.  Before total shock could set in, she leaped back up on her four feet and started playing again.

Evern mama dogs need a break!
