What Am I Doing Wrong?
I just checked into my blog and noticed I lost two followers. Normally that wouldn't bother me but it seems entries into my giveaways have dwindled as well. Analytics shows my viewership is down too. I'm not a person to stalk my numbers, but it makes me wonder if there's a particular reason why this is happening. Any ideas?

That's a great question. I wonder if there's a saturation somewhere from those of us blogging? There's so much out there, it's hard to tell. I sure can't get my numbers up, but it may just be me. I think we're all so busy now. We have nice weather so everyone might be outside doing other stuff? Doesn't explain the loss of followers.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong or different than you always have. Maybe try promoting giveaways on a few different sites? I was worried some of my visitors would drop off when I stopped linking to all the blog linkies but it was taking me FOREVER to do that. Now I just link on the main sweepstakes sites.
You haven't lost me. From a reader of family blogs and enterer of giveaways, I can say that this is a slow time for me right now. With the summer in full swing, I am spending more time working in the garden and outside with the kids than I am entering giveaways right now.
I also think the giveaway entries ebbs and flows with what's being offered in the blog world overall too. If I have a limited amount of time to enter, I'll usually pick the ones that most interest me as opposed to throwing an entry or two into several giveaways I may not be so interested in.
I, personally, don't think you've done anything "wrong", it may just be that people are vacationing or busy, or perhaps other blogs are flooding the web with high dollar giveaways.
I wouldn't stop being a follower unless something happens within the blog to change the way I feel about the owner. In fact, even though I got pretty irritated with one blogger I still didn't stop following. Blogger has been glitchy lately. Could that have something to do with it?
If I had to guess, I'd say since it's summertime people are spending time with their kids (school's out), taking vacations or visiting relatives, and generally spending less time on entering giveaways.
I'm sure things will pick up late summer, when people are thinking about back-to-school and then of course once school starts and parents have more free time during the day.
