Design Memory Craft - Review and #Giveaway

Faber-Castell has come out with a new product line for crafters.  The mix and match concept for Design Memory Craft makes crafting with color simple,  yet inspirational. The line includes watercolor pencils, pastel pencils, artist pens, metallic pens, and more.

I don't consider myself a professional by any means, but I like to scrapbook and make handmade cards when I have time.  I like to work with different tools to give variety.  I received the Metallic PITT Artists Pens and gave them a whirl on my handmade projects.  This set of pens came in a package of three with the colors of ruby, blue, and green.  Made with professional quality odorless India ink that won't bleed through your pages, they are waterproof, lightfast, and archival.  The special bullet nib is perfect for applying the rich metallic pigment and can even be used for inking small stamps.

I've used these pens as tools to help create a couple of birthday cards and design a couple of scrapbook pages.  The ink flows well and comes out onto the paper without smearing.  The colors of the pens are different than others I've used before and they give a shimmering metallic shine to my creations.  The Design Memory Craft blog has given me ideas on different scrapbook layouts and other projects I can try later when I have some downtime.  The pens sell for a little over $4 a piece so I wouldn't recommend letting smaller children use them to draw with.  They are crafter's pens that give an elegant look to your creations.
