Blue Ridge Jams - Review and Giveaway

Blue Ridge Jams has been making homemade gourmet food products in the Blue Ridge Mountains since 1961. Located south of Asheville, North Carolina with over 200 varieties of specialty food products available including old fashioned jams, jellies, preserves, pickles, relishes, salsas, syrups, and gourmet Jalapeno and Habanero pepper jelly there is something for everyone. Products are available to purchase at wholesale and retail pricing, with several private label options available.

Blue Ridge Jams gourmet food products are carefully hand-stirred in small batches, with the freshest fruits, vegetables, pure cane sugar, and finest ingredients to create a variety of wonderful gourmet flavors and surprising combinations that will give your taste buds a treat!

I've always had a fondness for great-tasting quality homemade jams, jellies, and syrups.  There's something about purchasing these types of food products from companies whose top priority isn't about mass producing, but about adding homemade flavor and love in a jar.  Blue Ridge Jams was kind enough to send me some of their food products for review.  I received the Three Pepper Jelly, Habanero Pineapple Preserves, Black Bean Salsa, and Habanero Pepper Relish.

I have a sissy mouth, so hot and spicy foods aren't for me.  However, my husband follows "the hotter, the better" mantra.  The habanero preserves and relish were right up his alley.  By the time he was done eating just a little bit of the habanero flavors, he was almost begging for a fire extinguisher.  Crazy thing is, he enjoys the firey challenge and keeps going back for more.  I tasted some of each atop a cracker.  HOT doesn't even begin to explain it.  On a scale of 1 to 10, he gives them a 12 for fire and taste.

The Black Bean Salsa was mild enough for my mouth and I enjoyed eating it with tortilla chips.  It also went well with tacos.  There was a plentiful amount of tomatoes, peppers, and corn in the salsa and the flavor was satisfying.
