Accent Studios - Review and Giveaway

Vinyl wall decals are an inexpensive way to add non-permanent designs to your wall space.  Accent Studios specializes in high quality vinyl, which they turn into amazing wall graphics.  Their vinyl stickers are made with a specially designed adhesive so it won't harm your walls.  This also makes them easy to apply, clean, and remove.  Their online catalog features hundreds of different designs, as well as over 35 colors to choose from.

I've used vinyl stickers in the past.  Some have worked well, while others have failed at being hard to apply, being expensive, or not adhering to the wall for very long.  With Accent Studios I chose the Butterfly Monogram Wall Decal, with the idea of applying it inside my camper.  I was able to customize my decal with "The Heck's" for the name and was able to choose two colors, one for the name and one for the butterfly.

It's completely my fault but I didn't take into mind measurements when I chose the butterfly decal.  Once I received it, I knew there's no way it was going to fit on my camper walls.  Instead of letting that deter me, I modified it to make an outdoor yard decoration. 

The decal itself arrived in two parts, one being the butterfly and the other being the name.  There were easy-to-follow instructions on how to apply the decal to a surface.  My husband was the main man for the application and preparation process.  He first painted a large piece of wood and added a stake at the bottom.  After letting that dry, he applied the vinyl decal.  He laid it on the wood and removed the backing paper, starting wtih one corner.  Due to the fine details of the butterfly, he had to be meticulous and tedious with his work.  Once the decal was applied to the board, he smoothed it down with the free squeegee I received with the decal and sprayed it twice with an outdoor protectant.  After he let it sit out to dry for a few hours, he displayed the sign in front of our camper.  I've received nothing but compliments from it and adore how it looks.  The decal is large in size and the has lots of pretty, intricate details.  It makes for an impressive outdoor yard sign.
