Run For A Cause with Team Continuum - #Giveaway

I have three words for cancer..."I hate you".  I hate that you stole my step-father's life after he struggled with pancreatic cancer for two years.  I hate how you stole my father's life three months after being diagnosed with lung cancer.  I hate how you stole my aunt's life after she fought breast cancer for 13 years.  I hate how you are now robbing my dear friend of her strength and her hair while she struggles with breast cancer. 

My friend, Patt, is probably stronger than I am right now and she's the one having to go through this horrible fight.  I see her every weekend and am inspired by her strength and willpower.  I'm inspired through her humor, wearing goofy hats after losing her hair to chemo.  I have to believe she will overcome and be triumphant.

Knowing so many people near and dear to me with cancer, I have a strong passion to let others know about organizations that are doing what they can do help raise funds and find a cure.  Founded as a not- for-profit charitable organization in 2003, Team Continuum provides immediate, vital, non-medical assistance to cancer patients and their families. What they do is quite simple, but has a direct, profound effect on their lives.

Team Continuum is honored to be an official Charity Partner of the New York Road Runners. With several hundred entries they are among the largest independent teams in the world-class 2010 ING NYC Marathon.
