Stonewall Kitchen - Review and Giveaway

Stonewall Kitchen, started in 1991 by Jonathan King and James Stott, has received numerous awards for its line of nationally recognized specialty foods.  The company continues to evolve ensuring its role as one of the country's most acclaimed specialty food producers.  Their food categories include jams, pancakes, syrups, sauces, prepared foods, and dessert toppings.  I got the pleasure of trying a handful of their products.

The list of products I tried include:

Parmesan Flatbread Crisps

Wild Maine Blueberry Champagne Jam

Strawberry Peach Jam

Carmelized Onion Mustard

Bourbon Molasses BBQ Sauce

My favorite were the Parmesan Flatbread Crisps.  They are meant to be broken apart and sprinkled upon a soup or salad but I ate them as they were.  I loved the perfect amount of parmesan cheese on top and ate them as a late evening snack.

Now I'm not a fan of anything with blueberries in it.  In fact, blue foods and drinks rarely hit my tastebuds.  I had to pass on the Wild Maine Blueberry Champagne Jam but my kids and husband loved it atop their toast.  My husband replied that there's a hint of champagne in the flavor and he liked the powerful taste of blueberries.

The Strawberry Peach Jam was also used on our breakfast toast, but I tried it too.  Together, the two flavors of strawberries and peaches gave a savory taste.

My husband's favorite was the Bourbon Molasses BBQ Sauce.  He's used it while grilling hamburgers, chicken breast, and ribs.  It is thick and has a hint of sweetness.  A few guests we've had over while grilling have made compliments on this BBQ sauce.

The Caramelized Onion Mustard has been delicious with meals that my husband has created.  It adds an extra tang that makes what it's being cooked with more delicious.
