Random Tuesday Thoughts - Thought I Was Out Of High School

Keely of The Un Mom is on hiatus with Random Tuesday Thoughts, so some cohorts have gotten together to keep it going.



Man, do I miss my kids' younger years.  Compared to the teenage years, I'll take the Terrible Two's back any day.  I feel like I'm in high school all over again with all the drama I've been drug into lately.  She said this, he did that, she's my BFF today, I can't stand her tomorrow.  It reminds me of why I'm glad to have graduated 15 years ago.

My oldest teenager is currently in a situation where an ex of hers is turning into Single White Female meets Fatal Attraction.  He'd better take the advice of backing off or he'll be in a situation where Boot meets Ass.

My mother was part of a miracle yesterday.  She went in for same-day surgery to have lesions checked that were attacking her throat.  More than one x-ray showed she had numerous lesions that were causing her to cough horrendously and lose her voice.  Coming out of surgery, the RN said that the lesions were no longer there and everything was good, with the exception of having Bronchitis.  My mother is not an overly religious person, but she prayed and prayed that things would turn out well.  God answered her prayers.  It brought tears to my eyes to see the joy and relief on her face that her prayers were answered.  God is good.

Only three more weeks and I get my upper teeth fixed.  I.can.hardly.wait!

One of our friends at the campground passed away Saturday.  Tonight is the visitation and several of us campers are going to the visitation together, dressed in our official campground tshirts.  It just reminds me of how lucky I am to have such a wonderful extended "family" at the campground.  We are super supportive, super crazy, and have each other's backs.  And it reminds me of why I like going there so often...NO DRAMA ALLOWED!

My husband put his truck up for sale on Craigslist.  It's a souped up, super loud truck that could run over an SUV anyday.  Think mini-monster truck.  So, one day, a guy emails him interested in buying it.  On one condition:  Jason had to make a two-minute video of himself pushing the pedal numerous times to make the engine rev up.  Weird, yes, but not out of line.  What was weird was that Jason made a video for this guy not one, not two, not three, but four times.  Every time Jason would send a video the guy would comment that it was either too dark, or he didn't rev it long enough, or he couldn't see Jason's foot on the pedal.  Now, color me wrong, but I've come to the conclusion that my husband just played part in some guy's weird foot fetish.  Needless to say, all contact has ceased with the weirdo.  We don't need to sell the truck that bad.

I always tell myself that I'm going to keep a running list of my random thoughts to post on Tuesdays, but I always end up randomly forgetting to.
