Point6 - Socks Review

The first word that comes to my mind when I think of the word wool is sheep.  The second word that comes to mind is itchy.  I was proven wrong with the itchy part when I was introduced to Point6 wool socks.  Their socks for every lifestyle are comfortable and stylish.

I don't know the difference between outdoor socks, lifestyle socks, snowboard socks, or the other kinds of socks out there.  I choose my socks based upon style, pattern, comfort, and fit.  Point6 is a sock brand that I recently became aware of and now really like.  They fit all my criteria I look for in socks.  The two pair I received are snug on all parts of my feet and have a different, but good, feeling when I wear them.

One pair I received was the Women's High Tech Light Crew.  This sock is designed to meet the demands of outdoor activities and is made of compact spun merino wool yards.  One thing I noticed about these socks that is very different than others is the arch brace and ankle brace to keep the sock snug.

Features of the Women's High Tech Light Crew sock include:

•100% compact spun merino wool next to skin

•soft terry loop cushioning under foot

•deep heel pocket hugs the heel without pulling across instep

•size knit inside cuff

•ventilation panels on instep

•arch brace and ankle brace to keep sock snug

•reinforced heel and toe for durability

•smooth flat toe seam is undetectable by toes

I also received the Women's Tulip Light 3/4 Crew sock.  Tulips and vines adorn this sock that's available in five colors.  This sock has the same special features as the first one.

Point6 uses merino wool to make its socks and their company name is derived from 98 point 6 degrees farenheit, the body's optimal body temperature  Optimum body temperature is essential for comfort and performance.  Merino wool fibers feature a complex moisture management system, keeping feet dry, comfortable and blister-free.  Another innovate thing about Point6 socks is that the style name and size is knit into the sock cuff to make it easy to pair up after washing.

I received products for review from Point6.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products.  Your opinions and results may differ.

You know, I would have never guessed by the look of those socks that they were wool! They look like regular cotton socks, and definitely as comfortable as them, too :)
