Fundex Games - Review and #Giveaway

Getting a game out in my home means quality time with the family and some friendly competition. Although we have our favorites, we're not picky with what kind of games we play. Card games, board games, word games....you name it, we'll play it.  One place that I've found to have a lot of fun games for people of all ages is Fundex Games.  Fundex Games, Ltd., a privately-based company founded in 1986, produces a wide range of board games, dice games, and card games.  I'm happy to be working with this company a second time for Terra's Two Year Blog Bash.

This time I chose two card games for review.  The first was Billionaire, a game of financial fun.  A game for 3 to 8 players, Billionaire is a trading game where the first person to score one billion dollars wins the game.  Cards are traded by desired industry, such as Technology, Media, and Entertainment.  Each player silently decides which industry they wish to collect and trade to get all cards in one industry.  When a player has collected all cards of one industry, that player has won the round and they get the value of that industry collected to his or her score.  There are two cards, The Billionaire card and The Taxman card, that are also used during gameplay.  The Billionaire card can be good for you if you are the winner of the round but bad for you if you aren't.  The Taxman card should be avoided at all costs, as it will cost you "dollars".  This is a card game of both skill and luck.  It took me and the kids a short time to figure it out, but it was lots of fun to play once we did.  A lot of giggles, loud shouting, and fast trading take place with this card game.

The second card game we reviewed from Fundex Games is Hot Wheels Auto Ambush.  For 2-4 players, this game is all about speed.  The dealer lays out four cards and players grab what they need to make matches.  Cards placed in the middle of the play area are quickly grabbed by players who need them to complete a "4-of-a-kind" hand.  If the special Crash card appears, all players must throw their entire hand on the table and players then race to grab four cards back into their hand.  Hands and cards fly in this hilariously crazy game of trying to get the cards you need first to make matches.  There's even a cool storage case in the shape of a tire to place the cards in when you're not playing.

These games, along with the others we already have from Fundex Games, are competitive, fun, and challenging.  I appreciate that instructions for each game at Fundex Games can be read online and are available to be printed from your computer.
