First Annual Campground Easter Egg Hunt

This year was the first for an Easter egg hunt at the campground where we stay.  It was a big success, with 72 kids participating.

The Easter bunny visited the children and passed out Tootsie Rolls.  I had to convince my son, Adam, to get his picture taken with the Easter bunny.

The kids first met at the playground to go over the rules, then walked over to an open field full of Easter eggs.

There were over 1200 eggs filled with candy, money, and prize slips.

I helped work the prize table with Renee, the Activities Director, and other volunteers.

It was pure chaos for a few minutes, being bombarded with kids wanting prizes.

Instead of a parking lot full of cars, we had a field lined with golf carts and motorcycles.

Five of my kids participated in the Easter egg hunt, along with a few of my nieces and nephews.

Everybody there received a free bag of popcorn.

The Easter Egg hunt was a lot of fun and a huge success.  It took tremendous teamwork from the campers to put it all together, but it was well worth it.

WOW! What an undertaking to prepare for that, but I know there were a lot of happy smiles as a result. :)
