DVD Synopsis:Featuring the voice talents of an all-star case including Freddie Prinze, Jr., Evan Rachel Wood, Rob Schneider, Donal Logue, Andy Dick, and Fran Drescher comes the witty underwater adventure The Reef, which debuted on Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack on March 8th, 2011.
When young fish Pi (Prinze) goes to live with his family on the Reef, he soon finds that their home is currently under siege by a pack of bullying sharks. Even worse, the love of his life also has the unwanted affections of one of the most powerful in the pack. To win back his home and his love, he must follow his destiny to save her and rid the Reef of the shark menace for good.
My Review:
The Reef originally made its debut in 2007 but became available in a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack in March of this year. Having watched it back when it first came out, me and the kids were excited to see it again in its new combo pack. The graphics of the movie are outstanding and I appreciated the humor that kept us laughing throughout. Most of the voices of the characters come from talented actors of high caliber.
There is one scene where the main character loses his parents but it's short and not too disturbing. Although I do not own a Blu-ray player, I recognize the worth of this movie being released in a combo pack. I'm not a child, but The Reef was a fun watch for me. My kids thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
