Book Synopsis:
Written by Janet Halfmann and illustrated by Wish Williams, Good Night, Little Sea Otter is a delightful bedtime story featuring a baby sea otter who says "good night" to each and every one of his ocean friends before he settles down to sleep cuddled up in his mama's loving arms in a bed of kelp. The inspiration for Good Night, Little Sea Otter came while the author, Janet, was writing a magazine article set in a kep forest along California's coast. Children and parents alike will enjoy the rich, colorful art and tender tale that can be told at bedtime or anytime.
My Review:
If you have or know of a child under the age of six, I'd suggest Good Night, Little Sea Otter. It is a short and simple book of a sea otter telling his ocean friends good night. The chromatic illustrations show different creatures that live in the ocean. Children can point out the striped fish, seagulls, crabs, and other living things while the book is being read to them. It is a bedtime story that parents can read quickly and children can enjoy.
