Wordful Wednesday - Annual Candy/Cookie Day

In addition to my birthday party on Sunday, we had our annual Candy/Cookie Day. It's a tradition that's been in the family for over ten years. In years past we would gather at my sister's house and make a huge mess by making all the candy and cookies there. Last year and this year, we made the cookies and candy in our own homes, then brought them to my sister's to be divided up.





There was plenty of candy and cookies for everyone to make trays with. I made up five trays myself to hand out. My favorite has always been my mother's homemade iced sugar cookies.



My nephew, Ozzy, donned a Christmas apron and tried peddling the candy and cookies for money. I'm not sure how far he got with that.

I couldn't resist taking a picture of the newest member of the family, Ayala.
