I have a special place in my heart for Build-A-Bear Workshop. My children do too. Even though my youngest child is 8 and the oldest is 16, all six kids get a huge smile on their face when they receive a bear or other furry friend from Build-A-Bear Workshop.
The actual experience of going to a Build-A-Bear Workshop store is an adventure in and of itself. You can pick out your own bear or furry friend and take it to different stations to stuff it and make it all your own. A birth certificate comes with each stuffed animal, making it more personal to the one who made it. Optional clothing and accessories are also available.
Unfortunately, the closest Build-A-Bear Workshop from where I live is an hour and a half away. We try to go at least once a year to an actual store, but I'm happy in the comfort of knowing that I can purchase Build-A-Bear Workshop friends and accessories online. Build-A-Bearville further enchances my childrens' connection with Build-A-Bear Workshop with its interactive games and play.
Both of my boys, Logan and Adam, recently received a 14 in. Lil' Chocolate Cub dressed in a Darth Vader outfit. Being fans of both Build-A-Bear Workshop and Star Wars, it couldn't have been any better. The Darth Vader Star Wars costume consists of a black top, belted pants, cape, mask, helmet, and plush lightsaber.
The Darth Vader bear arrived in an official Build-A-Bear Workshop box, and a birth certificate and cardboard hangar was included inside. If you've ever seen a Build-A-Bear Workshop box, you know that it's almost a toy itself. It's decorated with a Build-A-Bear Workshop theme and resembles a house. That's where the Darth Vader bears stay until the boys bring them out to play, which is often. Although the boys already have a handful of Build-A-Bear Workshop outfits, neither of them are willing to put a different one on these particular bears. Logan says its because "He has to stay in gear so he can be ready for battle to save the day".
One person will win a $25 Build-A-Bear Workshop gift certificate.
