HearthSong - Review and Giveaway

HearthSong is a company that I've worked with in the past and I'm elated to be able to feature another one of their educational toys and games. HearthSong provides children with age-appropriate, wholesome, quality playthings. My kids aren't babies or toddlers anymore but they still like to use their imaginations and creativity with toys and educational products.



I received the Orion Relief Globe from HearthSong as my latest product from them to review and the kids have "explored the world" with it. I like that it can be used as an educational tool for school and a fun learning experience in geography. Lots of games have been played and lessons have been learned while exploring the different countries and geographical locations on the globe. We play our own version of "Where's Waldo" where we have to take a guess as to where a subject may be based upon boundaries, latitude and longitude, and topography. We also discuss different places we may want to visit one day. Sometimes we spin the globe to see where our finger lands and discuss the country that we've landed on.

What makes this globe extra special is that it lights up. There is a cord attached and the globe illuminates when plugged in and turned on. It lightens up a dark room and gives off a pretty hue. The plastic support and the globe itself is made of a lightweight material, so it could possibly break easily if mishandled or played with too roughly. I make sure the kids are careful when playing with it.
