Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! - Review & Giveaway - SS&E #4

Having been out for two seasons, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! is a popular animated television series that airs on Nick Jr. The main character, Wubbzy, is a six year old cat with a bendy tail. Wubbzy, along with his friends, goes through adventures that get solved in the end. Just in time for school, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! has a new DVD out. It is an agreeable companion to the paperback book, School Surprise, which was released in 2009.




Movie Synopsis:

Wubbzy, the cute and quirky bendy-tailed character from the hit Emmy Award winning Nick Jr. preschool TV series, along with his pals, help preschoolers get ready to learn with the DVD release of Wubbzy Goes To School. The newest collection of engaging episodes will ease children's anxieties about heading off to school and making new friends.

Released August 3rd, "Wubbzy Goes To School" puts the cool in school with six charming episodes. In "Who Needs School?", Wubbzy is nervous about going off to school for the very first time and decides he can learn all he needs to know on his own. Additional episodes include "Gotta Dance", "Wubbzy the Star", "You Gotta Have Art", "Magic Tricks", and "New Kid On The Block". Cool bonus features include a photo gallery and coloring and activity sheets.

My Review:

I don't have the book copy of School Surprise so I can't give my opinion on it; however, the DVD is a fun and entertaining way for smaller children to ease their way into school. With examples of situations kids might encounter or be curious about, Wubbzy and his friends help ease children's minds. Even if you have smaller children who have already been to school, this would be a great DVD and book for the entertainment purposes alone. The characters are cute and engaging, and the songs are catchy.
