Silver Dolphin Books - Review & Giveaway - SS&E #5

Almost one year ago today I did a review and giveaway for Silver Dolphin, a company that publishes activity, novelty, and educational nonfiction books for preschoolers to 12-year-olds. I am fortunate enough to be able to work with this company again in reviewing their selection of amazing, educational books.

My children enjoy reading as it is, but what makes Silver Dolphin books so special is that they're interactive, educational, and fun. Each time my kids pick up a book from Silver Dolphin they learn something new. These books can be referenced to time and again.

Being the boys that they are, Adam and Logan seem more engaged in books if there's visual simulation. Master Engineer: Robots has plenty of visuals to keep their attention and both boys now think they're masters in the world of all things robot. This particular book explains the evolution of robots and the engineering behind them. There's even a kit included in the book to make a robot model.

Along with Adam and Logan, two of my girls like creepy, crawly, squishy, icky insects. Learning in Action: Insects gives kids facts on everything from cockroaches to grasshoppers. What makes this book so fun is that there are pop-ups and flaps to lift. The pop-ups almost leap off the page, giving a neat 3-D effect. As if that weren't enough, it also has sound and light effects with the firefly on the cover. A couple of times that my kids have had their books out I've sat alongside them to check out all the awe-inspiring pictures and learn new things about robots and insects.

My kids are older and the books they received are a perfect fit for their age range. You can start out from the get-go with the educational resources of Silver Dolphin. For instance, Amazing Baby: A First Guide To Baby Signing helps little ones grasp the concept of vocabulary through sign language. Educational books are amazing resources and there's plenty of them to be found at Silver Dolphin Books.
