Movie Synopsis:

My Review:

Before the movie even came out, three of my kids were reading the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid books. They enjoyed reading them and were happy to see a movie come out based upon one of their favorite book series.

This movie tells of a kid who is picked on at school and all he wants to do is be accepted. All the while, he records his thoughts and opinions in a journal. Me and the kids sat down to watch this movie together and found ourselves laughing a lot and rooting for the underdog. There are some bullyish pranks that I wasn't too fond of, but the kids didn't seem to pick up on them. After having watched the movie, the kids compared it to the books they've read. Although a few elements are different, it is fairly consistent to what they've read. All in all, this was a likable movie.
