Movie Synopsis:

Steve Carell and Tina Fey are “a match made in comedy heaven” in this uproarious adventure about an ordinary couple in the right place...on the wrong night. Phil and Claire Foster are a sensible, suburban husband and wife slogging through their daily lives and marriage. But a case of mistaken identity sets off an outrageous chain of events involving small-time thieves, big-city mobsters, corrupt cops and a crazed cabbie, as the Fosters’ “date night” turns into a wild ride they’ll never forget!



My Review:

Steve Carrell and Tina Fey play a couple whose case of mistaken identity turns their mundane, ordinary date nights into one of hilarious hijinks. There's romance, comedy, and action all rolled into one with this movie.

I enjoy watching comedies, but there are few that make me laugh out loud. Not just a chuckle, but an outright laugh. Date Night did just that. There were many scenes where I was ROFL right alongside my husband. The cab scene especially had me in tears. I'm not usually amused by Steve Carrell's comedic performances, but he and Tina Fey worked well together to make this a fun movie to watch.

This movie is rated PG-13 and I wouldn't recommend that kids watch it. There are scenes of sexuality, foul language, and other things that little eyes probably shouldn't see. However, I highly recommend that you make a date night with your significant other to watch Date Night.
