Just to warn my readers, my blog may look all sorts of weird starting tomorrow. I may go into anxiety mode.
I know very little about HTML, just the basics. My blog was created with the help of someone named Angie. I don't know where she's at now. She used a background through The Cutest Blog On The Block and then added custom personalizations. Apparently, TCBOTB is now requiring users to change the code for their background. Two problems with that: 1.) I've tried for days to get on the site and it's so overloaded right now that it's impossible. 2.) I don't know where it is I'd need to add the new code when and if I get to the site.
I went to another free background site, Shabby Blogs, to see if I could get a new background from there. I followed the directions, but don't think I did it right. The Shabby Blogs logo is on the left hand side of my blog but the background doesn't look any different.
At any rate, I'll find out how bad I messed it all up tomorrow when my TCBOTB background disappears. Please bear with me if it happens. I'm trying to fix it and trying to learn HTML real quick.

I may be able to help. I made my own background and did the coding myself, so I could fiddle with it if you need me to. I'm busy all weekend, though, so I can't help immediately (sorry!).

I feel just like you girl. I wish I could help, but I know nothing about that stuff. My blog is generic, I just use what I can find that's out there and hope it looks good. Your blog looks good just the way it is now.
I know a little but not a big helper. I had Diane do my whole thing and left it to her. I'm still here no matter what :)
I had the same problem! I think the message said CBOTB's designs needed to be changed by today. I keep getting "server not found" messages so have given up on them. I went ahead and used a customized blogger background for now.
Oh, the CBOTB background html has to be deleted before the shabby blog background will show up. Also had this problem. CBOTB kept overriding the new design.
