Not Your Average Teen's 1st Annual Blog Bash

My Intro

I am a 33 year old married mother of six. Yes, six children! People often refer to us as the Brady Bunch because none of the kids are from me and my husband together. I came into the relationship with three and he did the same. Jason and I have been married for almost eight years and our blended family has had its share of ups and downs.

My three children include a 16 year old newly licensed daughter, a 10 year old son with a heart of gold and a love of campers, and a son who will be 12 in just a few short days. My three step-daughters are 15, 9, and 8. In fact, Emma's eighth birthday is today! The two oldest are pretty shy and reserved while the youngest is most like her daddy.

In addition to raising a brood, I work full-time as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. I've been doing it for almost six years and don't really see myself working anywhere else. My husband works full-time as an auto mechanic. In the winter, my hobbies include scrapbooking, reading books, and watching movies. During the other seasons, you will find us spending every spare moment at the campground. It is our home away from home.

Questions About Blog

1.) Why do you blog?

I started out reading others' blogs. It was like reading an open book, interested in delving into the lives of others. After many months of doing that, I read a post from one blog where someone was wanting to make a blog for someone who hadn't made one yet. I replied to her email and it took off from there.

2.) What do you blog about?

I don't have a set standard that I blog about. One day it may be about giveaways that others are hosting because I'm a giveaway junkie. Another day it may be about something me and/or my family has done. It's a therapeutic journaling process. I also like to participate in blog memes and will post about those. Reviews and giveaways are also an integral part of my blog and I regularly blog about those.

3.) What do you find to be the biggest reward you get from blogging?

There are a few people that I've never met in real life and may never meet, but I have formed great online relationships with them through blogging.

4.) How long have you been blogging?

I have been blogging for 1 year and 2 months and have no plans of stopping anytime soon.

It's a play on my last name and the fact that we have a "bunch" of kids.
