MopTop & FuzzyDuck - Review & Giveaway

Simply stated, I have unruly hair. It seems all the girls in the household do. In fact, I like to keep my hair at a longer length but that's when it seems to be the most unruly and frizzy. I can have it looking good and in no time at all it will look like I've never combed it to begin with. As for Shelby she has naturally kinky hair that, at times, can look like a lion's mane.

MopTop knows the plight of unruly hair and has created a haircare line that solves the problem. MopTop is made for frizzy, dry, color treated or otherwise unmanageable hair. There are no harsh cleansing agents such as sulfates in their shampoos. Also, there are no insoluble silicones and no waxes in any of their products. A similiar line, called FuzzyDuck, is available that is geared towards kids with unruly hair.



I received the MopTop and FuzzyDuck travel kits for review. Included in the FuzzyDuck Travel kit is gentle shampoo, daily conditioner, detangler & refresher spray, and light hold anti-frizz gell. The MopTop Travel Kit has the same. I think the packaging design on the FuzzyDuck products is just too cute. I let my teenage daughter and one of my step-daughters have a go at the FuzzyDuck set, while I tried out the MopTop set.

We have used no other haircare products, with the exception of hairspray for me, since trying out the travel kits because we wanted to follow the tips for reducing frizz as indicated on the website and see if we could tame our tresses. After trying these haircare products for some time now, I've noticed a more healthy look and feel to my hair and it seems easier to style. Shelby has seen a noticeable difference in how her hair looks and feels. Instead of full-scale kinkiness, she now has more bounce to her curls and keeps commenting how her hair isn't all ratty and nappy anymore.

The scents for each of the products is different and all are pleasant. As for the shampoos and conditioners, they lather well and not a lot is required to get your hair clean. The travel sizes are nice to take with us back and forth from home to the campground. The price for each product is a tad bit costly, but I think that it is worth it for offsetting the cost of other haircare products that won't be needed because this line itself seems to do well with taming hair.
