DivaGirl - Game Review & Giveaway

To quote the famous Cyndi Lauper, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". Sometimes, for our sanity, us girls need to let loose and have fun with other gals. I love being a mom, and spending time with the kids is high on my list of things to do. It's even great being around the hubby. But sometimes it's nice to hang out with other women to laugh, vent, and have fun.

DivaGirl is a game that was created with fun time and girl time in mind. There are different ways and themes to play this card game. The most popular one is for a hostess to throw a simple or elaborate party in her home and invite guests. The guests arrive dressed in their diva attire, bringing a gift. The DivaGirl game is played and guests have the chance to win one of the gifts that were brought to the party. At the end, someone is dubbed "The Ultimate Diva". This game can also be played at bachelorette parties, holiday gatherings, and spa get-togethers, just to name a few. In the game are instructions, illustrated playing cards, and pink fake money.

I got a few girls together at the campground to play a simple version of the game to get the hang of it. We did not dress up, but food was served and the chance to win gifts was on the line. Pink cards were dealt out to each guest. Each card illustrates an item that divas love. Some illustrations were red nail polish, tropical getaway, bubble bath, and bikini. I then shuffled a blue set of cards that had the same illustrations on them. I picked out the blue cards one by one and called what was on the front of them. If the guest had that particular card, they laid it face down. The person whose cards were all laid face down at the end won that round and chose a gift.

I had more than one person tell me that it was a fun game and that they can't wait to get together during a more elaborate themed party to do it again. I look forward to hosting a gathering and enjoying the camaraderie while playing this game once more.
