We recently celebrated my great-nephew's sixth birthday with a skating party at the local rink. From here on out my family will be under seige with birthday parties, as we have a lot coming up.
Many people attended the party for Alec. We went into a birthday room to eat cake and ice cream, and for photo opps.
I'm thinking he came out with a lot of loot! That should hold him over till Christmas.
Alec got to go into the Fun Machine and try to grab for money and gift certificates that were flying around. He came out with a couple of dollars and GCs.
My son tried to sooth his cousin, but it was to no avail. She wanted mommy.
I even strapped on some skates and went around quite a few times. My passion back in the day was roller skating and it felt good to get back on four wheels again. I was nervous at first, being that it's been quite some time since I've rollerskated but I guess I was born to be on wheels. I felt like a teenager again.
My son, Logan, must have gotten his love for rollerskating passed down from me. That boy can skate!
