Outdoor Adventures Giveaway - HearthSong

A while back I did a review and giveaway for HearthSong. The Qwirkle game we received at that time has been a hit with the kids. My kids have found another winning product from HearthSong with the Bucket Blast Game.

Before I give details of the game, let me tell you a little bit about the company. HearthSong is committed to helping parents follow their instincts to provide their children with age-appropriate, wholesome, quality playthings. They are a known and respected source for quality children's toys, games, and crafts.



Now on to the Bucket Blast Game. Usually our weekends are filled with activities to do, but once in a while it is up to the kids to entertain themselves. The Bucket Blast Game has been a great boredom buster. Included with the game is six plastic buckets, six belts to attach buckets to backsides, four boundary-marking cones, six blindfolds, 24 beanbags in different colors, and an instruction book. In the instruction book there are directions for fiteen games that can be played indoors, outdoors, or with water.

There have been numerous kids test the Bucket Blast Game out and all of them had some sort of amusement come from it. We plan on using it for future planned activities for kids at the campground. Even though there are instructions for 15 games in the instruction book, the possibilities of what you can do are almost endless. We've played by the book and have made up a few games of our own.



One day it was raining fairly hard so we had the kids line up and gave them different colored beanbags. It was their objective to try to make the beanbag into the bucket that corresponded with the colors. This game was easy enough even for the little ones to play.



One game we played was where my boys had buckets strapped to their backsides and kids had to try to get the beanbags into the bucket. Logan shook his booty to make it more challenging.
A lot of hilarity ensued with this one. A couple of times the boys were hit in the back or shoulders with the beanbags. It did not hurt them, but I could see the potential for it to if the beanbags were thrown too hard.


What I like about the Bucket Blast Game is that there's enough items included and enough ways to play that it doesn't get boring. This game can be played in different environments and with different age groups.
