Outdoor Adventures Giveaway - Educational Insights

My kids may be out of school but that doesn't mean I want them to stop learning. One way I keep their interest of learning during the summer is with educational toys. Not only are they learning, but they are also having fun.

Educational Insights is a leading manufacturer of learning toys and innovative, hands-on educational materials. Browsing the site, I've found so many toys and kits to keep my kids entertained and educated throughout the year.



I received the Hydroponics Lab for review, and it's been a great learning experience for the kids to use at the campground. Logan, Adam, Juliann, and Emma have worked together on this and all of them seem to get great enjoyment out of watching plants grow from the roots up.



The Hydroponics Lab includes 3 test tubes, 3 seed baskets, 3 support rods, and an activity guide. Seeds are not included, and will need to be purchased before using the set. We got some bean seeds and prepared them to germinate. This takes a couple of days to do.

After the seeds have germinated, the Hydroponics Lab comes into use. Assembling the set and planting the seedlings were easy enough to do. Water needs to be added every few days. My kids have taken turns taking care of the seedlings and watering them as necessary.

There are different controlled experiments that can be done with the Hydroponics Lab. For the first one, my budding scientists have added sand, water, and soil to each of the three different test tubes. By recording their findings, they are able to find out which plant grows best in which environment.

The kids have had fun witht this set, with plans on doing more experiments. They are still in the process of learning about the plants and how they thrive best. I've delighted in watching them learn with it.
