Celebration Review - Birthday Express

My oldest daughter has turned sixteen years old. To celebrate, we hosted a small party at a nearby park with family and friends. We also celebrated with just a handful of family at the campground a few days before the actual party. Although the parties were small, I wanted decorations that reflected her personality and the important milestone in her life. I received partyware from Birthday Express that succeeded in helping make Shelby's birthday a special one.

For the birthday gathering at the campground, I used the Rock Star party theme. Shelby likes the girly punk look and these were perfect for her.

Rock Star Dessert Plates - There were 8 plates included in each set.

Rock Star Lunch Napkins - There were 16 napkins in this set.

Rock Star Stickers - These come sold as a set of four. These stickers were used in the pinata.

Rock Star 22" Pull-String Pinata - The picture does not do this pinata justice. It is large enough to hold a lot of candy and prizes. Instead of children swinging a bat around with the possibility of beating each other with it, there are ribbons dangling at the bottom for the children to hold and pull. The goodies inside then fall out. I have never seen a pinata with the ribbons to pull on the bottom and I think it's a nice alternative to pinatas that require a stick.

For the birthday party at the park, I used Sweet Sixteen partyware. There were a few options to choose from for the Sweet Sixteen theme, but I ultimately chose the black and pink scheme.

Sweet 16 Sparkle Tiara - Shelby proudly wore her tiara throughout the day. It fit nicely on her head and she proclaimed that she felt like a princess for the day. The black fuzz partially obstructed the word "Sixteen". It could have been fixed by wetting it down a little but she liked it as it was.

Sweet 16 Sparkle Lunch Napkins - These came in a set of 16 napkins.

Clear Plastic Tablecover Clips - Six clips were included in this package, but I was only able to use four. That's because I pressed down too hard while trying to attach them and two broke. They were nice to have to keep the tablecover from coming off, but special care is needed to ensure they don't break.

Sweet 16 Sparkle Paper Tablecover - We used the tablecover on a long table that was already at the park and it fit perfectly.

Sweet 16 Sparkle Prismatic Dinner Plates - These came in a set of 8.

Forks & Spoons - Hot Pink - There were eight forks and eight spoons in each package.

This is Shelby holding one of the Sweet Sixteen dessert plates and wearing her tiara. She has put the plate and tiara in her cedar chest as a reminder of her birthday party.

While picking out items to use from Birthday Express, I was amazed at the large selection available. There are so many themes and designs for parties that I spent hours browsing just to see a small variety of what they offer. If you are looking for something to make a birthday even more exclusive, Birthday Express offers personalized items that include your child's picture.

There are currently over 150 party themes available at Birthday Express with the products necessary to have a spectacular birthday party. All six of my kids are into different interests and I found something that would suit each of them.

I received products for review from Birthday Express. The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way. Please do your own research before purchasing products. Your opinions and results may differ.
