Celebration Giveaway - Batter Up Kids

My kids love to cook and the funner it is, the better. I also like to use gadgets and utensils that are cute, yet functional. Batter Up Kids has soooo many cooking items that are just that. There are products for birthday parties, cooking, baking, and everyday kitchen use. Although the main idea for Batter Up Kids is to carry items that appeal to kids or to use for kids' events, I can't stop myself from finding lots of things that I like, as an adult.

Batter Up Kids was founded in 1991 by Barbara Berry, an author of eleven children's cookbooks and a spokesperson for national companies. She has taught thousands of children to cook and she works closely with charitable organizations.

Flowerpot Happy Birthday Cake Mix - I surprised Shelby on the day of her birthday with a flowerpot cake I made using this mix. Included was a lead-free clay pot, vanilla cake mix, twelve birthday candles, and baking instructions.

The instructions were easy to follow and the cake tasted delicious. It was rather small, enough to feed two to three people. I think the cake mix is a nice idea to make for a loved one as their own personal cake on their special day to have and eat all to themselves.

My main concern when making the cake was that it would stick to the clay pot. I sprayed the pot with non-stick cooking spray and it easily came out when it was time to eat it.
Frosting was not included in the mix. I used some that I already had on hand and it took just a small amount. When Shelby came home from school, I lit the candles and sung Happy Birthday to her. She appreciated the gesture and the cake made just for her.
Eco-Friendly Bamboo Bowl Pink 6" - This bowl, made of bamboo, is pink on the outside and brown on the inside. It is the size of a small mixing bowl or a large cereal bowl. Bamboo is a naturally renewable material, making this bowl eco-friendly. There are directions included on how to properly care for it due to what it's made from. It is suggested that the bowl not be submersed in water for a long period of time. I used this bowl during Shelby's birthday party for one of the appetizers. It has since been used as a cereal and salad bowl.

Mix Spatula Ice Cream Logo - This spatula is oh-so-cute with it's pink ice cream design and the word "yummy". Not only is it cute, but it also functions well. The wooden handle is sturdy and it makes a perfect utensil for scraping mixes out of bowls. The rubber part is thick and not flimsy.
