International Playthings is a company with many brands licensed to them, one of them being Calico Critters.
In Who's Missing? A Calico Critter Game five cards are dealt out in a row and players hide their eyes while the dealer takes away a card. Then the players make an effort to remember which critters are missing. As the game is played the row of cards grows, so the longer you play the more challenging the game. This game is for 2-4 players, ages 3+ and it includes 48 cards along with game rules for three games to play.Although my boys would never outright admit it, they've played this game a few times with my 7 year old daughter. They could care less about the characters on the cards, but the girl thinks the critters are cute and has even personally named them.
I'd say this game is for those between the ages of 3 - 7. It is great for utilizing memorization skills. The kids think hard on memorizing the cards and are proud when they get it right on which critter is missing. The game gets harder the longer it's played and more memory skill is required. We do not have any Calico Critters or sets in our home, but the cards in this game would be especially dear to those who are Calico Critter fans.
